We are a family of four and this entire blog will serve as a gigantic “about us” section. Knowing that I’m going to use this “About Us” page as more of a “why does this blog exist” page. cool?
We live in a city (or a really giant town that doesn’t feel like a city), and want to live in the country. We plan to start a sustainable farm to meet our family’s needs, and maybe the needs of a few friends if we can manage it. Until that time, we’re doing everything we can to prepare for the day when we leave the city for the country. We’re trying to learn as many skills as possible, and gain as much knowledge about as many topics as we can manage until that time. This blog will be a journal of these experiences and the day to day occurrences in our little family.
What is “The Midwestern Moon?”
Pretty simple. The name of our farm. I realize it may seem strange to some to have come up with a name for it so many years before we will be there, but it helps us visualize such an abstract and long term goal. Hope you enjoy this blog, and are able to take something from it.
